What is Anti-Aging treatment?

Botox is commonly used for both medical and cosmetic purposes. It's primarily known for its cosmetic use in reducing the appearance of wrinkles, but it's also used medically to treat conditions like migraines, muscle spasms, TMJ and excessive sweating.

How Does it work?

When injected in very small concentrations, Botox blocks signals from the nerves to the muscles, essentially preventing the muscles from contracting. This inhibition of muscle contraction can smooth out wrinkles and fine lines, particularly those caused by repetitive facial movements like squinting or frowning.

Treatment Time

Treatments usually take anywhere
between 30 minutes to 1 hour

Botox treatments

Botox treatments are not permanent, so regular maintenance injections are needed to maintain results.

Benefits of Tox

Botox, or botulinum toxin, is well-known for its cosmetic uses, but it also has various medical benefits. Here are some of them:

  • Cosmetic Benefits : Botox injections are primarily used to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles and fine lines, particularly in areas like the forehead, between the eyebrows (glabellar lines), and around the eyes (crow's feet). It works by temporarily paralyzing the muscles responsible for causing wrinkles, resulting in smoother skin.

  • Treatment of Migraines : Botox injections have been approved by the FDA for the treatment of chronic migraines in adults. It is believed to work by blocking the release of certain chemicals involved in the transmission of pain signals.

  • Excessive Sweating (Hyperhidrosis) : Botox injections can help reduce excessive sweating by blocking the nerves that stimulate sweat glands. It's commonly used to treat excessive sweating in the underarms, palms, and soles of the feet.

  • TMJ : (TMJ stands for temporomandibular joint, which is the joint that connects your jawbone to your skull). Botox has been increasingly used as a treatment option for temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. TMJ disorders can cause pain and dysfunction in the jaw joint and the muscles that control jaw movement. Botox, which is a purified form of botulinum toxin, works by temporarily paralyzing or relaxing muscles.
